Pedestrian | Why Did the Heron Cross the Road?

This week’s The Daily Post photo prompt this week is Pedestrian.  Can I just say, I’m glad they’ve started posting the photo prompt on Wednesdays instead of Fridays?  It gives me more time to process and still get it up on Friday lol.  Anyway…

I went very literal on this one.  Mostly because I didn’t have the strength to sift through the thousands of photos at my disposal to find a “boring” one.

I have spotted a few heron since I’ve lived here in Maryland.  Never seen one quite this close up.  Unfortunately, because I was more focused on him than the photos itself, most of the shots I took of him that day are slightly out of focus.  I still like this one though, as I do the rest of the blurry bunch lol

Let me know what you thought of the photo in the comments section.

    1. Yes, I guess because there is so much water here in Maryland they tend to be everywhere. I see them in the pond by my house all the time, I just never seem to have a camera with me lol. I’ve also seen them down at the harbor (Baltimore) and on the bay side of Ocean City (Maryland). This is the first time I’ve spotted one at Brookside Gardens however.

  1. I love herons. You mage me laugh with the idea of looking though your pictures for a boring one. I’m not sure what to do with this challenge. I almost always crop people out of my pictures, as if they are flaws!

    1. I do the same. It’s not because they are flaws though, but because they don’t interest me nearly as much as nature. I’m glad I gave you a giggle… thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I hope you come back again soon.
