Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge this week is Lines and Angles. I don’t know the name of the bridge, it’s just a little foot bridge in Cohoes. I have many photos of this bridge, but today you only get the one, this one:
I can’t post a black and white challenge and not share the original lol
I prefer the black and white version personally. I like that you can see all the nice rust on the bridge in the colored one, but the trees are noisy for me and in the black and white you can just focus on the bridge. Make sense? Anyway, I hope you enjoyed, let me know what you thought of today’s photo in the comments below. Which one did you prefer, the black and white or the original?
BFN!
I like both because they each allow me to use my visual acumen in a different way. Flexing my perspective gives me freedom. Excellent photography. Kudos for both!

Same with me, I love the beauty of the bridge, you lose that with the black and white. That rust though… it’s what makes this bridge. I’m glad that you enjoyed these shots and I hope you stop back by again soon. Have a great day!

I like both versions, but the B&W lets the bridge shine.

I agree 100%. Otherwise it’s way too noisy and the bridge gets lost.

The monochrome does show more of the bridge and the color shows more of the surrounding vegetation. Love both photos. They each have a different perspective.

I agree, since it was the bridge I wanted to highlight I didn’t mind the black and white. The trees were very distracting indeed in the original. Thanks for the comment, have a great rest of your day.
