This weeks photo prompt is Morning. Nothing says morning to me like a sunrise. Mostly because I am desperately trying to keep my eyes closed and the light is burning its way between my eyelids lol. I am not a morning person, by any stretch of the imagination. However, on this morning I was up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed to catch those first sunbeams of the day.
I think that morning I was up at a little after 5am and getting dressed in the dark as to not wake up my family. I left my hotel which was about a block away and headed across the street to set up my equipment on the beach. I stayed until the sun was fully up and the sky erupted in more color than I thought possible. I believe that it is true that sunrises and sunsets are more intense when it is colder outside. Because God knows it was cold this morning.
In case you are a follower of mines, I know you have seen photos from this series of sunset photos before. However, all of these being used today are brand new (to you) and you haven’t actually seen them before. I took a LOT of photos on this particular morning. But you’ll be happy to know, I’ve got a lot less original content from this day left to share with you.
The sun is finally beginning it’s ascension.
Within minutes the sun was fully up and just like that, it was the beginning of a new day. Though morning has been upon us since Midnight, to me, it is this moment right here that signifies morning to me.
As the sky erupted in fire I grabbed my equipment, headed back to my hotel, and went back to bed. Thank God for blackout drapes right? So…
What does morning mean to you?
Spectacular sunrise shots! I’d love to wake up to this view. 🙂

It was well worth getting up early and standing out in the cold for, that’s for sure. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!
