Good morning! How are you doing today? Me, I’m fine. I’d be better if I didn’t have to take Lucy to the vet today… but I’m good.
This week my nephew was in town for Offense-Defense Camp. The Baltimore camp is a small one, so there were only 80 or so kids there. I was busy Sunday and Monday working on my final, but Tuesday and Wednesday I was out there watching these kids practice and play in their big game. The little team was good… I found it was easier to follow their game from the ground and they made some good plays. However, the teens were the ones to watch. So much so that I didn’t catch a lot of their good plays because I was caught up in the game.
This first photo is from the littles. My nephew is on this team since he’s only 10. No, he’s not in this photo.
This is the teens team. They range from 12 – 17. Typically it’s 13, but they’ve got one 12-year-old that is small but fast, and can take down the biggest of players, and the other 12-year-old is the size of his 16-year-old brother… so there you go. They played a good game. However, as the clock was running out, the camp was breaking down their tents, and I started helping my sister with her son’s gear, so I missed the last 2 minutes of the game.
It was a good couple of days, yesterday was in the 90’s but I was under a tent and there was a breeze so it didn’t feel that bad. Tuesday there was a horrible storm not long after I got there, so the kids didn’t get much practice time, but I still got a lot of shots between the 2 days. I left my sister with a camera for Wednesday because I knew I wouldn’t get there until game time. Between the two of us, I have about a thousand photos to filter through. So I’ll be busy over the next couple of days.
Anyway, I’m gonna get going. Things to do… photos to process. Have a great day!
