Oh The Weather Outside is Frightful #Blizzard2016

As I start to write this I am listening to some idiot, too lazy (or unprepared) to shovel the show from behind his/her vehicle, constantly trying to rev their vehicle up and over the drift of snow that has settled behind their car.  They’ve been doing this for a while.  Anyway…

It’s been about 19 hours since I noticed that it had started to snow.  I was awoken at 5:45am by the sound of ice pelting the window.  Right now it’s really windy and it is snowing with intermittent sleet.  This is how it looks outside right now.

I didn’t need to go outside to feel the cold as our lobby is colder than a witches nipple.  These pictures were taken through the lobby windows in my building.  The snow plows haven’t come through yet, but the maintenance men have worked through the night trying to keep the doorways plowed.

My plans for the day?  For now, I am going to finish watching Star Trek movies on SyFy, in a few hours I will finish my last assignment of the week, and after that I will put away the laundry I washed 2 days ago.

I hope wherever you are today, you are safe, warm, and at peace.  Have a wonderful day everyone.  I may be back later to post today’s Crayola color… BFN!

  1. Wow, so much snow there! We had a blizzard the day after Christmas…there are still drifts that haven’t melted in places. Lots of people got their cars stuck in front of our house, and we kept hearing them trying to get out. Take care and stay warm!

    1. The snow really picked up before it finally stopped. At least it looks like it may have stopped. I was peeping out the window and cars are under huge snow drifts. If I wake up early enough in the morning before the snow plows show up and people start to dig out I’ll post an updated photo. Heck, I have to try to dig my truck out tomorrow too just in case there is school on Monday.
