This weeks photo prompt is Optimistic. Staring down the barrel of our big Nor’easter, I am staying optimistic by thinking of better times to come. It’s almost February, which for me says Spring is right around the corner. I thought I’d share some of my favorite Spring photos to keep you optimistic this weekend while the winds are howling and the snow is coming down.
Stay safe and warm everyone. Though Winter can feel long, it’ll be over before you know it.
BFN!
Thanks for that little glimpse of Spring. We too, are faced with the Nor’Easter here in Somers Point, NJ. We’ve tied up the deck furniture (which we have to do in the Fall), the boats are out of the water and the ones that are in are double-tied, my bushes are staked, and we’re going to find a nice restaurant to walk to tonight! Be safe and warm!

Witchazel!!! We have a plant…it has never ever ever bloomed. But every year I am hopeful. I should go look at it. Maybe this year.

Maybe this is your year! If it’s never bloomed either it’s waiting to be pollinated or you have the male of the species. If I am remembering correctly sometimes plants have a male and a female, where one will bloom and the other will not.

Be safe during the snowstorm. I hope you get to stay home and wait it out.

Maryland called a state of emergency. School were closed today (even though there is no snow yet and school would have released at 10:30am). So yep, I get to stay home and wait it out. Are you affected by this weekend’s Nor’easter?

Nope, the storm passed to the south of Wisconsin. However, my brother lives in the D.C. area. Upon checking with him this morning, he says he has firewood and beer, good to go! Ha!
