Sharing My World

Tell how you are feeling today in the form of a weather report. (For example, partly cloudy, sunny with a chance for showers, etc.)

Today I am feeling Sunny and warm, not a cloud in sight.  😀

What is most memorable about your high school years?

The fun I had with friends.  I hated school (some things never change).  I went because

a) I had to and

b) I got to hang out with my friends.

Have you ever owned a rock, pet rock, or gem that is not jewelry?

Yes, I have a collection of rocks that I picked up at science museums and other gift shops along the way.  When I was a kid I actually used to trudge through the fields and woods (we lived on 16 acres in the middle of no where) collecting rocks.  I loved the sparkly ones I used to find.  I would scrub all of the dirt off and line them up on the porch.  I loved to look at them when it rained, especially on sunny rainy days.  Because they would shimmer and shine in the sun like jewels.

Complete this sentence:  I like watching…

reruns.  I am currently re-watching Dexter.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful for Christmas and the one on one time I got to spend with my son.  What am I looking forward to in the week coming up?  I am taking an online photo editing class.  It’s for Photoshop, so I don’t know how much help it will be when I use Affinity, but I am hoping that with some new editing skills under my belt that my just okay photos could look great.

  1. I’ve always collected rocks too! I was the same as you – fascinated by the sparkly ones. I hope you enjoy your photo editing class. I should look for a class on that. I had a free month trial of Lightroom and Photoshop and it was so overwhelming that I didn’t manage to edit and save one photo.

    1. I find photoshop frustrating lol, but affinity is no less frustrating, it’s just feels easier. I’d like to just get some basic photo editing skills under my belt, even if it is with the wrong software. Did that make sense? lol

It's your turn to say something... What do you think?
