Onward and Upward – Making Progress

Today I was looking at my stats.  They aren’t as crazy as I’ve seen on some other blogs, but they are different from how they were a year ago.

I came to WordPress in 2009.  For the most part, my blog was private.  I wasn’t publicizing it at all.  The only traffic I got were from the people who I had shared my blog with.  Last year, I decided to start publicizing my blog a little.  I created a Facebook page for it and everything.  The Facebook page isn’t doing all that well, but still, every little bit seemed to help.

This year I went back to my original format of blogging daily.  Which is why it’s called The Daily Blabber, not Blabbing Occasionally lol.  My views only increased slightly, but the interaction I longed for here has started to pick up.  As you can tell, comments have more than tripled in the last year, while likes have almost quadrupled.  Progress is slow, but I am happy with it nonetheless.  Lets hope that 2016 is an even better year here at The Daily Blabber.

How’s progress on your blog?  Did you see an increase of interaction and readership?  Or are you content with the progress you’ve already made?  As always, leave you comments below.

BFN!

  1. My progress chart is very similar to yours. I started my blog in 2009 and it has been slowly improving ever since. And this year has been the best so far! I don’t blog everyday though- it’s a bit hard to keep up!

    1. It is hard to keep up. I vowed to blog every day of 2015, a promise I hope to keep up in 2016 as well. So far I’ve kept that promise to myself. Sometimes I posted later in the day than I’d prefer, sometimes I scheduled a post for days when I knew I couldn’t be around, but I did it. You have to want to do it. You have to make it a priority in order to keep up with a daily schedule.

It's your turn to say something... What do you think?
