This week’s photo prompt was Wall. The instructions said that it had to reveal something about a place, a person, or yourself. Though I am sure I could have just taken a photo of my wall and been fine, I wanted a wall that had some real meaning behind it. Which meant I had to take a little road trip this morning.
The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is in the National Mall in Washington, DC. It lists the more than 58,000 Americans that gave their lives in service to their country during the Vietnam War. There are also some statues that go along with this memorial, however I will have to include them on another day, since today I am only focusing on the wall itself.
To my knowledge, I don’t know anyone on the wall. However, it is an important part of our history that everyone should see at least once. Enjoy!
