New Year, New Promises

My blog is very late today.  Today we officially went back to class and I had a paper to write.  The paper was for psychology and lets just say I’m thoroughly exhausted from all of the terminology that was necessary to explain Individual Psychology as a theory.  Anyway…

It is now the beginning of another brand new year.  Have you decided on any resolutions?  I haven’t.  I don’t do well with resolutions.  I did manage to give up fast food (for the most part) haven’t had McDonalds or Burger King in over a year now. Not that I’d want to.  The leaking of recipes is highly conducive to changing bad behavior I swear lol.  You would think knowing how many bugs there are in chocolate (parts per million) would be enough reason for me to never eat chocolate again.  However that didn’t work so well.  Guess it’s going to take good old will power.

Every year I say I am going to lose weight, however 2014 proved that I was lying when I didn’t lose but gained weight.  I gained about 20 lb. throughout 2014.  Believe me I am shocked by that as well.  I am not going to make a resolution this year to lose weight.  I am going to be more conscious about getting up and moving about though.  I sat in front of my computer or an open book all of 2014 because I was taking online school.  I can’t let that happen again.

School and work are both possibilities for 2015, just not in the first few months of this year.  William will be deploying this year as well, so I won’t want a job that takes me out of the house when there isn’t another parent to help lighten the load.  School was relatively easy because I had William to pick up the slack when I was too engrossed to do what needed to be done.  I won’t have that support for a good part of this year.  Lots to consider and luckily I still have some time to decide.  I’m in no rush and am just looking forward to the prospect of taking some time off from school.  At least for the time being.  I find I am still torn with the thought of going back to school.  Especially since any school I go to here will want me to start over from scratch.  It’s like the last 2 years of my life didn’t matter.  That isn’t sitting well with me.  However I know that in order to do what I want, it is necessary.

I believe at this point though I would be happy doing help desk from home.  You know of anyone that is looking to hire help desk telecommuters?  Yeah me neither.  Well not really anyway.

One thing is for sure I won’t be walking away from The Daily Blabber anytime soon.  September will mean that I have been blogging, though not necessarily publicly, for 10 years.  TDB will be 10 y’all!  How are we going to celebrate that milestone?  I’ll also be turning 40 this year.  Another milestone, though this one may be a little more tragic lol.  I haven’t decided how I feel about the big 4 0 yet lol  Lots of exciting things happening…

2015 is a new year with a world of new promise.  What are you looking forward to this year?  What are your goals for 2015?

  1. When is William deploying and whete is he going? I gained about 20 pounds last year too. Hoping to lose 35 by the time I turn 50 this year!!! I’ll trade you 40 for 50!!

    1. He’ll be leaving sometime this summer, but I can’t tell you where he’s going. You know how that is. You’ve got almost a year to lose your 35 lbs, I’m sure you’ll do fine after a long winter of shoveling snow… You just have to get back to walking again.

It's your turn to say something... What do you think?
