You get to choose one gift — no price restrictions — for any person you want. The caveat? You have to give it anonymously. What gift would you give, and to whom?
For as long as I can remember my in-laws have had problems with their plumbing. An issue that run deep into the house and would mean a complete overhaul of the plumbing system in order to correct it. Anyone with a house knows that to update all of your pipes is an expensive job. Especially in a multilevel house. They have 3 kids, but we all have families and lives of our own. We all do what we can to help out, but none of us can afford to pony up $20k a piece to help with their plumbing issues. That said.
If I could choose one gift, no price restrictions for anyone I want. I’d buy my in-laws a new house. A house that is large enough for the parties they like to throw for friends and family during the holidays. A house with at least 4 bedrooms so that there is space for all of the grandkids. A house with new plumbing, no issues, and no mortgage.
See their house is the house where we all converge. 4th of July brought close to 30 people over for a cookout. It was great, but their house really isn’t big enough to handle the sheer volume of people who hang out there during the holidays. So we end up spread out throughout the house, yard, even the carport. But we always have a good time and enjoy each other’s company. If I could give them a new house, I would in an instant. Even if they didn’t know it was me that did it. Which makes it all that much better.
