Three and a Half Day

This was a very productive week, school wise that is.  Andre was out of school on Monday and Tuesday.  So Monday I slept in, watched a little TV, that was about it.  Having worked on school work every day last week, Monday was my first down day that I actually got to relax.  The idea was that Tuesday would be dedicated to Literature, Wednesday would be dedicated to Psychology, and Thursday would be dedicated to Programming.  Leaving me free to have a 4 day weekend to spend with my family.  It didn’t quite work out that way.

When Tuesday came about, I took Andre to school per the norm.  Then I came home and pulled out the computer and looked at all of my assignments for the week.  That is when I discovered I had a teamwork assignment for Programming.  That also mean that I would have to change how I had planned to do my work for the week.  Tuesday at that point became dedicated to Programming.  I had 3 programs to write.  One for Labwork and 2 for Teamwork.  I wrote the programs out-of-order.  I thought that my second program would be the hardest so I wrote that one first.  (It wasn’t by the way.)  It took like 10 minutes.  Then, the base of that program leant itself to the program needed for the lab work assignment.  That third program took forever because I kept getting my variables wrong.  However, as soon as I figured out what I was doing wrong it all clicked into place.  All three of my programs do what they were supposed to.  Now to wait for everyone else to post.

With Programming out-of-the-way, I decided to do Literature next.  I had to go get my allergy shots so I decided to sit down and read the poems that I had to interpret and begin answering the interpretation questions while I was there.  When I got home, I finished answering those questions and then sat down to write the actual interpretation.  Easy peasy, that was done, posted, and I was free for the rest of the day.

Thursday required a LOT of reading.  I hadn’t anticipated just how boring the reading assignment would be.  I had been enjoying Psychology up until this point.  It was about learning styles and techniques.  I posted my discussion after reading just over half of the assignment.  I didn’t start my individual assignment until Friday morning.  I also responded to all of my discussions at that point.  Leaving me free by noon for the weekend 🙂

My husband leaves for Bragg tomorrow morning.  So we haven’t made any plans for today other than to lay about.  Which is fine by me.  I don’t have any household chores in need of my attention and I don’t have any errands that I need to run so home we stay.  I am sitting here watching Top Chef Boston.  My husband is watching ESPN rather loudly in the living room and if I know Andre, he is playing video games lol.

Ooo, before I forget!  This week I decided I was going to make my own shea butter for my hair and body for the winter.  I ordered some raw unrefined shea butter, some Jamaican black caster oil, Jojoba oil & vitamin E.  I also plan to use coconut oil (which I keep on hand) and the hair one will have a little EVOO in it.  I’ll let you know how that turns out.  I may even post a recipe if you’d like.
