My Lips are Sealed

Can you keep a secret? Have you ever — intentionally or not — spilled the beans (when you should’ve stayed quiet)?

Yes, I can keep a secret.  I have never intentionally or otherwise let the cat out of the bag on a legitimate secret.  If I did, it was to my husband.  Does he even count?  That said…

I don’t make it a habit of talking about people behind their back.  Spreading other people’s secrets constitutes talking behind a person’s back.  I hate it when people do that.  Especially those who use your personal information as a comedy routine when someone comes around that you have in common.  I grew up with a cousin that smiled in my face and talked shit behind my back and I hated it.  She was not a secret keeper, she was a secret spreader.  She still is.  She is the reason why I tend to keep my secrets to myself.  She shattered all hopes of me being able to allow someone to get that close to me.

So yes, I can keep a secret.
