Day 40 – Post 500

Good morning!  As you can see, this is my 500th post on The Daily Blabber.  That’s a whole lot of posts about nothing lol.  I wish I could say I had this big monumental post planned for the 500th but, I don’t.  So, on with the blah…. I mean blog LOL.

The photo up above was taken from the car, as you can tell, thank you iPhone, because I sure didn’t have a real camera this morning.  The fog was so thick that even though the sun came up about 7am, it didn’t start burning through the fog til about 8:15.  My neighborhood was still pretty foggy when I got home, but the sun was getting in too so you could see the crystals in the fog as you drove through it… so cool.

I’ve dropped Andre off at school and William off at work and I’m blogging right this instant because I need to do laundry and some cleaning today.  I’ve been running about so much that the house is just being ignored.  Maybe I’ll even make a trip to the craft store… I’d like to be able to start my new scarf today, but I am not holding out high hopes on doing that today.  My luck, by the time I get the house spotless again, it’ll be time for General Hospital lol.  And you know I’ll have to sit down and watch it… even though it has been pretty boring lately.

Okay, I’ve got games to catch up with on Facebook, and then off to clean I go.  I hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far…. It’s almost over 🙂  BFN!

  1. 500 blogs. Wow! Ever go back and read the early ones? I’ve never tried knitting or crocheting. No talent here. Wish thee was something I could do. My week is going well. Time for work. Happy Friday Sunshine and Jan!!!!!

    1. Sometimes I go back and read older ones. Especially if I’m looking back for something. I used to be really good about blogging back in the day. But after William came back from Afghanistan that last time I lost my voice and didn’t have much to say after that. I’m trying to get back into the swing of things. I like blogging every day, I find on days when I actually talk instead of just posting photos it helps me clear my head.

I haven’t tried knitting yet. Looks so complicated. But I do crochet. Basic stitches… I haven’t tried more complicated ones yet. I want to, just haven’t had the time to really sit and watch a YouTube video to learn.

  2. I crochet, not knit, but I do want to learn how to knit. It just looks so complicated. I am wondering if knitting will be less stress on the fingers though. Crocheting hurts my hands after an hour or so. I love to do it, but they need to make a hand friendly grip for crochet hooks LOL

    1. Knitting is a lot easier than crochet, at least the simple stuff is. I don’t know how to do cables yet. As for the grip crochet hooks, JoAnn’s has a full line of them by “Crochet Dude” or some such name. They have nice looking grips on them and would be easy to hold for those who have hand problems. They aren’t all that expensive either if you have a 40% off coupon from JoAnn’s. Ok, gotta run. Can’t wait to see what you crochet when you get some yarn.

  3. That snow sure does look cold, and frankly depressing. I hate winter. Now the yarn, yarn makes me happy. LOL A scarf huh? Knit or crochet? You’ll have to post pictures of your progress. I need to get back to blogging, I’ve been busy with life and just keep pushing stuff aside. I have been knitting though… 4 scarfs for the girls, a baby blanket (my first ever knit blanket), 2 baby sweaters, and I’m currently knitting an adult afghan throw (54×70). I’m currently loosing steam on the throw but I refuse to start another yarn project until it’s finished. I need to finish it because it’s a Christmas present. Speaking of yarn…. are you on Pinterest yet? Oh my gosh! There are so many cool crafts and stuff to look at on there. That’s what I’ve been doing with my time lately, I quit playing games on facebook and now waste time on Pinterest looking at cool stuff.

Alright, I need to get off the computer and behind some needles. Happy 500th post!
