Day 15 – Black Eyed Susan

Today as I was driving out of the subdivision I happened to look over and noticed that the flowers that were in bloom a little over a week ago are now drying up.  Summer is really over.  Not that I’m sad about that or anything.  Don’t get me wrong, summer is pretty… flowers in bloom, trees swaying in the seemingly never-ending Colorado breeze, grass, if you can find it, is always a welcomed sight.

But Summer is hot, and anyone that knows me, knows I hate hot.  My name is very misleading… I like snow, rainy days, and darkness.  I like to prowl around at night, especially here in Colorado.  When it’s dark, it’s quiet.  The street lights are pretty on the side of the mountain.  I’m really going to have to try to get a photo of that.  Maybe next time.

I didn’t have a lot on my mind today.  Just thinking about how fast this year is scooting past us.  Hard to believe it’s almost October.  Halloween is almost here.  And you know once Halloween gets here the holidays aren’t far behind.  *sigh*  Anyway, here’s the last photo I’ll get of the flowers at the intersection this year.  I took it about a week ago.  Enjoy!
