Kamikaze Cat

I debated the title of this blog quite a bit this morning. I thought maybe I’d name it My Cat, The Terrorist. I thought maybe I’d name it. Good Morning Hallucination, My Name Is Sunshine…. but I think Kamikaze Cat was a little more befitting since when I sat down to write, that’s what came out of my finger tips. Either I ate some strange hallucinogenic mushrooms last night, which I highly doubt since I’m not a huge fan of mushrooms, or my cat is a rouge terrorist. I say this because at 6:24am this morning I was bombarded with meowing. Lucy thinks, somehow, that it’s a good idea to wake up the crazy fat lady 21 minutes before he clock goes off. With nothing on my night stand to throw at her, I just laid there in disbelief til Zoie got up and ran her off. So I finally got up, head throbbing from a long night of teeth grinding, and headed downstairs to make Andre’s lunch for school. Lucy has immaculate hearing. She can hear a container of turkey open from a totally different floor of the house, always brings her running. So as I make Andre’s sandwich this morning, this is the conversation I had with her. “Good Morning Lucy. Was that you that woke me up early this morning….. of course it wasn’t you, it was Zoie…. it’s her that thinks early morning rapid fire meowing is funny. Did you know that I only had 20 minutes left before I had to get up…. you didn’t care, you just want breakfast. Well guess what, waking me up early doesn’t get you food before 9am. Trust me. Do you know I have a headache big as you behind this morning?…. Yeah I know, not your problem, just give you some turkey already and stop talking. Your lucky I had nothing to throw at you ya know…” Which ended our conversation, since she was done eating her slice of turkey and had walked away… lol Now I sit here typing this up nice and early with a set of glowing eyes sitting in a shadow staring at me. I feel stalked… This week Andre went back to school. I was more than ready for him to go back. First time I actually wanted him to go back I think. I’ve been in a funky mood and he, God bless him, has been catching a little of my tude. So I needed the break from everything and he needed a break from me. His regular teacher decided to take another week off, yeh! Andre tells me she came around yesterday with her baby. Andre tells me he’s a got red hair and he’s funny looking. So I just told him, baby all babies look funny for that first month or so, til they begin to fill out that skin and plump back up. In a couple of months he won’t even look like the same little boy. When he went back to school on Tuesday I decided to run all the errands I neglected to do last week because I refused to leave the house. Needless to say I was running errands, px, commissary, allergist, hallmark, etc, etc, etc til it was time to pick him up from school. Well with the exception of that 45 minutes or so I got to spend with Brooke over at Rachel’s house. She’s such a little sweetie. Yesterday, I spent cleaning the house, back to it’s, Andre’s back in school state. You know that state of cleanliness that can only be achieved when the kids are elbow deep in school. Because if they were actually in the house with you, it gets dirty almost as quickly as you cleaned it. To finish and look at the house and not be able to tell you actually cleaned it. Well it’s 7:14am, time to go light a fire under Andre who is in denial it seems about school. I’ll post this when I get back.

Ok I’m back… lol I saw a good movie yesterday. Reign Over Me. It’s a good movie. I highly recommend it. It’s about this Guy, Charlie Fineman, played by Adam Sandler, that lost his whole family, dog included, on September 11th, and his inability to cope. Can I just say that Adam Sandler has come a long way since Happy Gilmore? He did such a good job on this movie. He blew me away with Spanglish, but this was HUGE. Excellent movie!!! Ya’ll have a great day, I’m going to go and find me something constructive to do.
